The dioptric compensation is incorporated under the bridge connecting the two halves of the binoculars. Despite the compact design it is not likely you will accidently adjust the dioptric compensation. The hinges are extremely solid so the alignment of these binoculars is and remains optimal. The halves of the binoculars fold beautifully under the bridge.
